The Old Scout Hut

Located opposite the historic church in the tiny village of Ruckinge,The Old Scout Hut
has been converted into a stylish holiday home that sleeps nine (a maximum of six adults). The original character of the hall remains in the large open-plan living area which combines a modern kitchen, dining area, and living room with a mezzanine bedroom above. It’s ideal for a larger family or small group of friends who enjoy cooking and eating together and will enjoy its location in the heart of a quiet village with the Kent countryside beyond. Just over an hour’s drive from London and less than 25 miles from the Channel Tunnel, The Old Scout Hut is a lovely place for country walks and a great location from which to explore Romney Marsh, the beaches of the Kent coast, and the historic towns of Hythe, Rye, and Tenterden. Family-friendly attractions including Port Lympne Reserve Wild Animal Park and the Romney, Hythe, and Dymchurch Railway are within easy driving distance too.
